A New Chapter Begins

Thank You. Before anything else, we want to say this — thank you. Thank you to everyone who has followed our story, lifted us up, and helped us keep going when it felt impossible. This journey has changed us forever, and your kindness will always be a part of our family’s story.

He’s here. Our son, Emery has arrived (two weeks already at the time of writing!) — healthy, beautiful, and its been better than we ever could have dreamed. After years of longing, countless setbacks, and a journey that tested every part of us, we finally held him in our arms. There are no words big enough for that moment.

When we first built this site, we were in a very different place. We were exhausted — emotionally, physically, and financially. We were searching for hope, for a connection, for the one person who might be able to help make our dream a reality. This website became our voice when we didn’t know where else to turn.

And somehow… it worked.

We found a match — something that, from my understanding, happens for only a small percentage of intended parents who start down this path. The odds were stacked against us. We faced the challenges of agency processes, the heartbreak of losing time and money (yes, we were taken by one agency for $5–6K), and the looming threat of ending up in what’s known as “the graveyard pool” — paying the fee and sitting, unmatched, as months tick by.

But our story didn’t end there.

Thanks to the courage of one incredible woman — our surrogate — and the support of our friends, family, and community, we made it through. We navigated the storms. We learned to advocate for ourselves. We found resilience we didn’t know we had.

We will be forever grateful to every person who read and felt our words, shared our pain, checked in, donated, and showed countless other acts of kindness. In our darkest hours, you were the quiet proof that helped us through — and that kind of light can never be forgotten.

As we close this site, the next chapter begins with tiny hands we cannot stop holding, first cries that have already filled our hearts, and sleepless nights we welcome because they mean he is finally here.
